Hello Smith and Wesson fans. I am looking for a leather holster for a 4 inch, heavy barrel model 10. I looked at simply Rugged. Any other makers out there? Thanks.
How about a S.D. Myres Three Persons? Found the one below on eBay for about $35, IIRC, for my mid-'60s 4" HB M10. I think the holster dates from the early 50s.
Both long gone, unfortunately, as part of my ongoing attempt to keep my accumulation down to a modest dozen or so.
Galco, DeSantis, Simply Rugged, Lobo Gunleather, Ted Blocker, Gould & Goodrich, Don Hume, Safariland, and Bianchi are brands I usually look toward (new and used).
If I had Simply Rugged just down the street, I'd go to the local class 6 store and acquire a bottle of his favorite adult beverage then mozzy on down there and ask him to make me a holster to a design I liked.
Since my favourite adult beverage runs to the tune of $75.00, that would be a fair trade for a plain hank of leather shaped and hand stitched. If you wanted it gussied up that would, depending on the amount of gussiepng, run to two or three of those bottles. Full on fancy work making it fit for the BBQ at the Whitehouse, that might run a few more.
BTW, I have to mozzy everywhere cuz I'm too old to run anywhere.
