Your 3" Model 60 can be carried in just about any style of holster (OWB, IWB, etc) because of its relatively small size. The final decision on which is best for you must be made by you, based upon your physique, your usual activities, your wardrobe, etc.

Most users find a OWB (outside the waistband) belt holster to be the most comfortable. Carry position is usually on the strong-side hip, or a little to the back of the hip.

A high-ride pancake style holster will conceal your revolver very well, and is very comfortable to wear. The pancake style pulls the handgun snugly into the side for good concealment and retention, and the fore-and-aft belt attachments distribute the weight very well.

For any belt holster you will need a sturdy belt, and the holster belt attachment (slots or loops) need to be fitted to the belt width in use.

You are invited to my website to view several styles for concealed carry use. There are other forum members who are also excellent makers (oldflatfoot, countryboy, and others). You should be able to find several to talk with, exchange e-mails, view products.

Not to detract from El Lobo in any way, Don Hume makes various versions of their 715 for the 3" J-frames that run under $30. I got one for mine and it worked great with that gun and with the 3" J-frame that I have now. I was wearing it yesterday, in fact. It's in these pix alongside a Mika pocket holster:

I also had Newfyman's friend make me up a great flap holster for hikes:

Also consider the Bianchi Black Widow. It's a "slide" type with a thumb break retention. I have one that I use for 2 and 3" J frames interchangeable........ They can be had lined IF you'll call Bianchi directly and be persistant........

Thank You.

Thank you one and all for your help. The information is very helpful.

I ordered a Milt Sparks PKM for my wifes M60 pro. I am still waiting on it but I am sure it will be great. I also use a belt slide type and let the barrel poke down, but on the 60 pro with a front night sight, most 2" holsters will not fit. Over on Gunblast, Jeff uses a Simply Rugged and an Unkle Mikes kydex. Good luck, the 60 pro is worth the hassle of finding a nice holster for.
