Hey guys,
New member here and my first post is asking a question I haven't seen answered yet. I ordered the LG-406 Crimson Trace LaserGuard for my 9VE. I have the following holsters: Crossbreed SuperTuck, Galco Trydex, a Fobus Paddle. Although lately I have been using the ClipDraw when not needing to tuck. (For those that do not know this is similar to the clip on a knife that allows you to clip the gun in your waist band.)

My question is, since the LaserGuard will in effect change the shape of the gun around the trigger guard, will I need a new holster? Any ones out there addressing yet?

I have 2 possible solutions. Let me know what you think:

1- Use heat gun to try and reshape SuperTuck.

2-Keep using the ClipDraw for now, where the laser won't matter. Only problem would be not being able to tuck

Any Suggestions or anyone have the LG-406 on a Carry gun?

You may or may not catch hell for this from other members here but I would lose the Clip draw. There is nothing to protect the gun and there is nothing covering the trigger guard. You have a greater chance getting stuff in the gun causing it to fail.

As for your question. I would start e-mailing the makers to see what will work. And by all means, let us all know!

Good luck

As far as the ClipDraw goes, I'm not worried about the trigger guard not being covered as : A) With a heavy trigger pull like mine has it would take one hell of a snag to pull it and B) the way I have the clip on, the trigger guard of the gun is behind the belt so nothing can get in it anyway.

I also clean my gun every night to make sure there is nothing in there that shouldn't be. Even if you are using a holster, it is still good to make sure eveything is in solid working order before you call it a night.

I will try and modify the SuperTuck once I get the laser on.

Keep ya posted...

How did the Supertuck modification go?
I have the 40ve and use a Tagua Leather IWB holster. I hat to slice the 1st row of stitches in front of the trigger guard with a knife, but it did the trick and for under $30. I have written Crossbreed to see if they will make one with the Crimson laser option.

Blade-Tech just released a new holster for the LG-406 equipped Sigma. You can see it on the Crimson Trace website!
