I was wondering if anybody has bought a copy of the new Hornady Handbook of Cartridge Reloading 10th Ed. I am interested in knowing if there are any new loads for .17Hornet and .460 S&W Mag.

Thanks

10 th edition lists both 17 Hornet and .460 S&W Mag.
17 Hornet has loads for 20 gr.V-Max
25 gr.V-Max
25 gr. HP
460 S&W lists loads for 200 gr. FXT (460 S&W)
240gr. XTP Mag
300gr. XTP Mag
I only have 7th edition to compare to 10th

10th versus 9th.
17 Hornet: load data exactly the same but the 25 gr. V-Max bullet was added to the 25 gr. page.
460 S&W Magnum: data and bullets exactly the same in 9th and 10th.
Just for info: In the 10th with the newly added 25 gr. V-Max bullet the overall length as tested was
1.710" and the GI BC of the bullet was 0.230.

For me 10th edition is worth it because they've added recipes for BE-86 and CFE-P.

Dam guess I'll have to buy one

I have Hornady's ninth.

I think that I will pick up Lyman's fiftieth before Hornady's tenth.

Just sayin.

How many new manuals are out there I hear they're coming out with a couple of new powders too

Very nice. Thank you for posting this. I was hoping Lyman #50 would cover these two new propellants, but no such luck according to other forum members.
