Anybody scored any of this stuff? Interesting video on their site. Willing to try it. Dealer locally unable to get any right now and Midway and others are Out of Stock!! The current ammo dealer's Mantra.

I've tested Hornady CD in .380. It's very good ammo, but nothing better than other top loads in that caliber. My P3AT didn't cycle the stuff reliably, so I'm running Speer Gold Dots. Do a search. We have discussed CD ammo quite a bit here. What caliber are you interested in?

I've read a lot of "experts" claim that the best round for a .380 pocket gun is 95 gr FMJ on the theory that good penetration is more important in that scenario than the questionable expansion of HPs. That being said the guys at MRI do have good things to say about the Hornady Critical Defense round in .380 for the Micro Desert Eagle. Haven't tried it myself.

BTW on the BB issue. I'm reluctant to use my BB in this gun, and have been looking at getting another .380 gun, perhaps a Sig 232 or a Bersa. Any thoughts?

Sig 232.. You will not be disappointed.

I have 2 boxes of CD in 380 and 2 boxes in 38spcl+p. I have shot the ground and dug them out, and they expand as told in the video. Now wood is a different story.

I like P3ATs and see no need to use any other .380.

As far as FMJ in .380 is concerned, I don't agree with the people who say HPs may not expand, so use ball. That doesn't even make sense. If a HP doesn't expand it will act like ball (actually perhaps better. When I've tested .380 hollowpoints in Perma-Gel and they failed to expand, I have only ever recovered them traveling backwards like a wadcutter after tumbling 180 degrees. I'm not so sure ball will, but don't know). Pick a HP load that will penetrate at least 12" or so after expansion. If it doesn't expand it will only go deeper. Underpenetration will likely be a nonissue with .380 hollowpoints given proper load selection.

Appreciate the info on the CZ. Looks real nice as well, and will have to look into that. I've got friends who swear by their Bersas and Sigs for .380 caliber, so it may come down to where I can get the best deal if that's at all possible right now. And then there's the availability of .380 ammo.

Looks like a good round but I'm not planning on getting any (at least until ammo prices come down). I have three 20 round boxes of the Buffalo Bore 100gr LFP +P.

So far its been the most accurate load in my ruger 380, not one time has it jammed in 300 rounds.
