Hornady Critical duty 135 grn 9mm +p in Series 70 Colt

Ok here is a dopey question, I just picked up my Colt Series 70 in 9mm and bought some SD ammo it happened to be the Critical Defense in +p. After reading a bit I think it should be safe to shoot it in my pistol as long as I don't give it as a steady diet. Any thoughts or recomendations.

Shoot it all you want, since Colt recommends any SAAMI spec ammunitiion, which includes +P.
