A while back I posted about the Houston National Cemetery prohibiting any reference to God at military funerals. Today, I read on Fox News that Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) went undercover and discovered that the practice is still on going.

This is an unabashed disregard of our First Amendment rights. It is also an extraordinary disrespect of our deceased veterans.

PLEASE, do not let this thread degenerate into politicking, political bashing or hateful speech. My only intent is to inform as many as possible of the situation. If this can happen in my back yard, it can happen in yours as well.

God Bless America.

I'll ask again - just what can the VA do about it?? If a minister prays to GOD, or JESUS, what will they do about it - refuse internment?? Sue the family? Smells like someone in the Houston VA is in bed with the ACLU.

I don't know about Houston, but I know that no such prohibition exists at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery here in El Paso. I doubt such a prohibition is either legal or enforcable.
