How Do You Ship Ammo?

Recently I had an ammo karma. Both UPS & FedEx have told me that to ship the one box of ammo, I must open an account & take their HazMat training. Earlier this year when we had the ammo karma for a needy Forum member I went to a UPS main depot & shipped it out with no problems. Apparently the rules have changed. The ammo has to go from Oklahoma City to Corsicana TX. Anybody have any ideas? Someone has said it can't go USPS either. Help!

Whoever told you that you needed to open an account and have hazmat training are idiots. I've shipped a lot of ammo thru UPS with zero questions or problems.

Absolutely no shipping of ammo thru U.S. Postal Service.

Did you get refused at one of their satellite stores? The way I read UPS's regs is that hazmat paperwork is needed if you are shipping huge quantities.There is an exception for limited quantities.The ammo still goes as a ground shipment and must be packaged properly with ORM-D clearly labeled on the outside.

I would print this out for reference and only use the Main UPS depot for shipping ammo.

You have to go to a UPS run customer center, most UPS Stores which are independently run will not ship ammo.

Once again, I want to thank everyone for their help, especially Coltle6920. I went to the site you provided, printed off the correct sticker, slapped it on the box & I was in business.
