I think we must have had a cool front blow in today. At 5:00 PM it was only 100 on our outside thermometer. That is 5-10 degrees cooler than it has been the last 6 days since I got back to the rig here by Stanton. Forecast for later this week will be in the 105-110 range for the rest of my hitch here at the rig.
It got to 88 today and humidity in the mid 40% range. A bit of a breeze kept everything pleasant for light yard work and some burgers and corn on the cob on the grill. It was a "keeper" for sure.
It hit 100 here today, eclipsing the old record of 98 set in the dust-bowl of 1934. Five weeks ago we had more than 12" of snow on the ground. It was a very late spring for a week and now it's summer!
73 this morning and it's not yet 5am. A bit muggy outside after the little bit of a storm we had pass us. Grandson wants to go shooting today, that always makes a good day.
