And it only took 19 years to get here! The following are OTD prices. In 2005 I bought a maybe 70% 1904 1st Issue Colt Officer’s Model .38 Spl. for $325. In 2017 I traded it and $200 for a well worn 1895 .30-40 Winchester. In 2021 I traded the ‘95 plus $600 for a like NIB 3rd generation Colt SAA .44 Special. Then last week I traded that Colt plus $400 for an unfired Colt custom shop cased “Colt Frontier Sixshooter” .44-40. One of 481 made in 1984. Maybe I’m just kidding myself (based on current value of the stuff I traded) but in the end if my math is right I have $1560 in actual cash output in it and these go for insane asking prices now. That’s the end of the trail in this crazy trade adventure.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing it.

I like the 7.5 barrel profile and that it's in nickel is best of all imo.

Have loved that configuration ever since seeing Henry Fonda as Frank in "Once Upon A Time In The West" as a kid.

Nice Six Shooter.

I saw “Once Upon A Time…” when it came out in 1969. I was twelve. Henry Fonda’s 7 1/2” nickeled Colt was the first motivating factor that made me want one eventually. Then around 1971 a movie came on TV called Shane. Wow! That sealed the deal for me. That version of the SAA has been my favorite ever since. I have a 2nd Gen Centennial .44-40 that matches this one almost perfectly when I put black eagle grips on the new one. And I have a long barreled renickeled 1958 .45 I got 40 years ago.
