Gets you going in the morning?
For me...Usually 1 - 2 cups of coffee, then a pop in the afternoon. Rest of the day/night is usually water.
I can tell you this, some guys at my work should just have an IV plugged in, as much as they drink all day. I'd be dead from a heart attack, if I drank that much coffee.
How bout you guys?

I have gradually cut back on coffee since retiring several years ago due
to a problem with stomach acid, plus I get more sleep now. I usually
drink coffee twice a day and one cup, meaning 12 oz, of strong black
coffee seems to be good enough. I think I have compensated for the
reduction of coffee by drinking about one 2 lt. bottle of Diet Coke a
day. Still need a little caffeine now and then.

One big (16 oz.) cup black coffee every morning. Occasionally when out
and about I might have a cup with cream & sweetener, but very rarely.
About once a month.

Two, (large), mugs of Folger's in the morning, maybe one more after dinner. If I go out for a meal, it's always water. Coffee doesn't keep me awake, but it does generate more than the usual number of overnight trips to the biffie.

3-4 cups in the morning while reading the paper then I don't touch it for the rest of the day.

Just 2-3 cups at first, and normal cups, one slightly larger than average. But sure no 16 oz. cup! One has a picture of a pheasant on it and reads Father. My daughter gave it to me when she was about 12.

Later, I have about 5-7 cups of coffee or tea throughout the day into the evening.

Tea has less caffeine, but it doesn't bother me.

I read that drinking about four cups of coffee a day seems to delay or prevent symptoms of Alzheimer's. Saw that in several medical articles and TV doc features. (Network medical consultants, not doctor fiction shows.)

I love good coffee, but also tea, so I don't drink as much coffee as if I wasn't also a tea drinker.

I sometimes use milk in tea, normally just sugar. I do use milk/cream and sugar in coffee, unless I'm having coffee with strawberries. Then, I use just sugar.

When I was about 12, some guy working with the teacher brought us some brochures from the Pan American Coffee Board, I think it was. Lots of info on coffee. I guess the idea was to give them to our parents to promote coffee drinking. I read them with great interest. One said that some Central American men drink as many as 40 cups a day! That seems really excessive, if true.

Well now I gotta ask all you guys.

Just black coffee or cream & sugar added too?

For me: cream and sugar is a must.
Drinking black coffee is "No Bueno" for me. I'd rather drink dirt. Lol.

Had a supervisor I worked with that could kill a "large"office coffee pot by himself! After it was all gone, ask someone to please make a fresh pot & he would kill most of that too....unless he had to go out to the job sites.Whenever he returned ,first stop was the coffee pot!
