I followed an unnatural path in some email I received about how many guns in the USA. I found it interesting, some statistics are provided, and believe reasonable conclusions made. Obama/Clinton Gun Control in this country is very similar to taking your unmarried, pregnant daughter to the hospital for the baby's delivery, and you want to discuss birth control methods with her so she doesn't get pregnant. Quite simply it is too late!

For your reading and listening pleasure:

https://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/how-many-guns-are-in-the-u-s-probably-more-than-you-think/ Don't think 300 million is valid.

http://weaponsman.com/?p=33875 A possible value of 450 to 650 million guns.

Now just how much ammunition is stored with those guns? Daily domestic ammo production in 2016 was 5 million to 75 million rounds per day at least 5 days per week. And how much imported military surplus ammo was for sale? If Gun Owners were a problem, gun banners would be seeking cover, not legislative action. I'll sleep comfortably tonight and every night in the future, I've got mine. My wife is positive we don't need just one more. That's ok, I bought it, and it's in the vault.

Not to be sexist, but based on that half the people are male, and just over have of them are 21 or older. Based on the average number of guns per male member of our family, times 81.25 million men =4.6 billion guns. Add to this an equal number of women over 21, times the number of guns they own separately (based on my families female average), = .575 Billion

That totals a little over 5.1 Billion!

My family may run a little high on personally owned guns, so we can round the number down if you wish.

I expect I may be in the same upper percentage of firearms and ammo that you are in.:D

More guns than cars.
99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999 percent of those guns are not forcing their owners to commit a crime.
Tens of billions of bullets.
But you are so very very very much more likely to be injured or killed by a car than a gun or a bullet.
Never seen a sign in a business window saying not to drive.
Never heard a politician suggesting we get rid of cars.

Not nearly enough guns in my opinion :-))))) But more than enough to make all gun grabbers heads explode. :-))))))))))))))

ATF - I thought it was a convenience store...

Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms - what could be finer?
