hello, how much of your goodies do you leave on your rifle when you actually shoot, i have found i shoot better offhand when i remove my tactical flashlight, bipod, front and rear iron sights, all i leave on is my short vfg and my 1.75x5.1 scope, and bty i added some weight in the buffer tube and now i feel rock steady, pghrich

That's why I don't have any of that ****. Red dot and magpul plastic sights.

I only put on accessories that I need on that rifle to begin with. Currently, that is a red dot and Troy BUIS only.

On my AR15 that I use for longer range shooting (100yds) I have a carry handle, bipod, and a flashlight (since it is also my current HD gun, but that will change when I get a pistol).

I have never been one to add an accessory that "looks cool" but has no actual function.

I don't have any extraneous junk on mine, either. I simply change sights depending upon what I am shooting. I can switch from factory iron to RDS to scope in less than a minute (closer to 30 seconds) and all retain zero within 1 MOA - good enough for my needs.

You can put me in the anti-cool-looking-stuff camp as well. One of the things I love about the 15-22 is its light weight, so I figure why hang several pounds of non-functional contraptions on it? Of course "different strokes for different folks," so others can do whatever makes them smile.
A few days ago I took off the vertical foregrip I've had on the rifle since I got it. I shot a little last evening and I really like it this way, holding with my thumb hooked in the space between the upper and left rail, as I saw suggested somewhere. The only "goodies" hanging on mine now are a scope and a laser. The latter increases the fun factor a lot for us.
My wife likes to shoot this thing too, and weight is an issue for her. Ditching the foregrip and moving the laser rearward (I now put my support hand right up behind it) definitely has improved the balance, and the weight reduction alone should make it easier for her to shoot. She's planning on trying it this afternoon, and I hope she likes it because it feels much better to me from the moment I pick it up.

Hi everything I have put on it stays on it when I go shooting

I thought about a flash light ....but it’s not my home defense weapon or night time hunting weapon. Actually only my Winchester Defender 1200 has a flashlight on it.

It does have a micro quick release green laser in the 6 o'clock position with only a push on/ off switch (I don't like pressure switches & cords hanging all over the place)

I could take that off I suppose along with the magpul AFG 2….but I don’t think I need to as it does not interfere with anything. So I guess I only hang what I need

Like others, I didn't put any "extras" on it to begin with so no need to take them off. Only things on it are my red dot which I can readily change out to the stock irons, and a sling mounted up front on the bottom rail and to the stock in the rear. I have always used the sling as a shooting aid since I was a young pup.

This is what I shot with at last Sunday's IDPA 2-gun match and it's pretty much all that's ever attached to my rifle (except for the Magpul Ms3 sling coming in later today) when I shoot.

I've been away from IDPA matches for over 2 years now (went to night shifts) and when the scores came out, was surprised to see that I actually had a best overall time of all the 2-gunners on one of the stages. It was a pistol only stage with 2 movers. I LOVE that CZ, man!

I don't put anything on there that gets in the way of shooting a match or practice for that matter. While I have lots of things like lights, lasers, vertical grips, iron sights, and a bipod they seldom get on there unless it is for a picture or something. Sometimes I use the bipod at the range when sighting in but it is inferior to my benchrest.

sometimes i take my sling off to bench it when i confirm zero. not much is on it to begin with.

Last year I picked up a AR from a guy that needed money.
It had a quad rail, vertical front grip / bi-pod, green laser with
a 45 deg. mount, 1x4 scope, sling and a couple other things.

Weighted more than my M1 Garand. I took all that mall ninja stuff off.

I've had my 15-22 for about 4 months now, and have shot it plenty. I've had a red dot on their before but took it off because I found I was shooting better with my irons (this could be because I didn't have my RDS zeroed correctly).

Either way, I've thought about putting other stuff on and the only accessory I've stuck with is a quick adjustable sling, because it really helps me shoot better depending on the range.

I bought my 15-22 specifically as a trainer to my 5.56 AR15. I changed the handguard with Magpul MOE in midlength with the tacticool22 handguard adapter and TrueShot A2 front sight. I have the same Matech600 rear sight on both. For now, I only have one set of accessories, Magpul AFG and Primary Arms red dot sight, which I transfer over when I practice but plan on getting another set so I can just pick up my 15-22 and shoot.

I have a RDS, VFG, and a UTG weapon light on and it all stays on. Only reason the light is on is because it kept sliding back on my CX4 after a few rounds fired. A cheap-o light with no bar lock to keep it in place. 15-22 no recoil no problem.

Lets see...
Got a VFG, AFG, 3x9 Tactical Scop, reflex site, Bi-Pod, Rail Covers, Stock Sites, Slide fire Stock....

Now I only have the Stock, Reflex, AFG and rail covers on..... Now 3x9 maybe when i shoot Distance... But BASIC is Better now for me..

Have some Rapid Transit Sites that should land Today I will add and remove Stock sites...

So back to basics for me...
