This is an excerpt from today's San Antonio Express-News reporting on yesterday's 2nd Amendment Rally at the state capital -
State officials stick by their guns during rally - San Antonio Express-News

Patterson, who has announced plans to run for lieutenant governor in 2014, said he feels safer when carrying a gun, and that firearm homicides have decreased by 60 percent since 1993.

"When you go to a gun show, a Second Amendment rally or an NRA convention, do you notice how polite everybody is?" Patterson asked the crowd. "You know why that is, it's because we're all packin'."

May God bless them and keep their spines strong & straight.

It's more than just "knowing which side their bread is buttered on" regarding gun law, it's got to do with being raised right. I applaud them, h*** , I even voted for a lot of 'em.

Yes, I voted for three Texas politicians in the past, more then once I might add, and I don't even live in Texas. I did live in Florida for about 8 years, and Jeb was my man.

Makes me proud to be a Texan, even if i am currently living in
Oklahoma. Which really isn't a bad place to live either. As long
as we don't talk about college football, we're alright.

hilarious! i moved to Oklahoma from Ohio. I learned early on, do not talk football with these people! I think its an inferiority complex, we're like Texas' little brother. Just take us with you during the Revolution!

Man, you are so right! I use to work in Norman, at an auto dealership
right off of 35. On game days, forget about trying to get anywhere fast,
because it wasn't going to happen. Management once told us that on
game days if we wanted to wear an OU shirt it was fine. I asked that,
since I was from Texas, if I could wear a UT shirt, & I was told "it
wouldn't be advisable". They take that stuff pretty serious here! But
I have changed a little:I root for OU, as long as their not playing a
Texas team.

Hopefully our Gov. Perry will grow a spine soon as well and speak out. He sure had no problem speaking out while running for Prez, which genrerally was not a good thing.

You can be sure that those pro-gun, pro 2d Amendment opinions are not shared by our democrat politicians. Some of those are as liberal as you will find anywhere. Then there are a few that are actually moderate, and have some common sense.
