I have read here on the forum a while ago that there is a way to check historical sales prices on GB, but I have yet to figure out how to do it. So, for instance you could get an idea of what 696s, or Registered Magnums, etc. are going for. Can someone enlighten me, please?

Go to the "Advanced" search area. When you get there, select the tab for ended auctions. Input the search criteria, and you should find your information. After you get what you need, you can sort by date, bids, etc., to find out what's sold, and for how much.

Just what Dennis told you, but look at the information, you may have included numerous "automatic re-listings". When a "reserve" is not met and the auction ends, most times the auction is automatically re-listed. The same auction may be in the closed auctions 10, 15, 20 times with different top prices, but if the reserve wasn't met it wasn't sold. You only want those that actually sold.

As stated above....I usually sort by highest number of bids first. (This gets rid of all the one's that just sit there and die.)

It is interesting see how many things are listed for silly prices and what they eventually sell for when reality sets in. However, every dealer at a show will quote you the GB high number, even if the item is still unsold after many weeks.:( Yeah, right.
