How to install 2 point sling on M&P 15 Sport 2?

I know there are a lot of threads already for this but most of the pictures I see are different than my set up. I get how to install it on the bottom of the AR but not around the top where my light is? How can I get a sling on here or what attachments do I need?

If that’s the model you have, you can try and mount a short rail section to the bottom or sides. Best way, imo, would be to swap out the hand guard for a carbine length aftermarket one. You could go as simple as a polymer magpul moe or aluminum quad rail. Those will give you slots/rails you need to mount a sling adapter (mlok or rail version).

Google “rifle sling adapter” and pick one you like for the rail/sling combo you get.

I have the exact same gun and used the Quick Disconnect slot on the bottom of the gas block, to attach a QD sling swivel. I then use the stock swivel to hook to the other end. This seems to work well for me.

I put a different front handguard on mine with 4 rails. Makes mounting anything easy at multiple angles.

I guess that is one way to do it... Or, you could replace the gas block with a low profile block, free float the barrel with a 10" or longer M-lok free float tube, and then install a M-Lok QD sling mount on your handguard.
