Hey everybody,

Greetings from the Gunshine State. Just shot my first S&W .357 Mag, a model 19-4, and loved it. The trigger was smooth as silk, and all shots went where I meant them to. Nice gun! I hunt, and also have CC, and was thinking about hog hunting with the 357. A friend turned me on to some 'Deer-stoppers', new ammo, not reloads, from Georgia Arms. I was wondering if there was a reason that I should not use ammo that "...is loaded to maximum industry pressure, muzzle energy: 763 ft-lbs..." in a 19-4. Appreciate any feedback. Been browsing through the forums...I do believe I'll fit in here!

Hello canoemcman, sorry I can't help you with your question(s) but I can offer you a warm, welcome aboard!!

Thanks for the welcome. Browsing other posts, I already found the answer to my concern about using max pressure loads in my 357. there were some later models that had some difficulty firing some hotter loads that S&W came up with a mod for. Mine is an oldie but a goodie! Lovin' my model 19-4!
