HPR .380 ACP Blemished Ammo

Has anyone ever bought and shot "blemished" HPR 380 ammo?

Here is a portion of the product description.

"Each round is boxer-primed brass, non-corrosive, and reloadable. These rounds are also considered blemished by HPR. These blemishes are purely cosmetic defects that in no way will effect the function, safety, or ballistics of the rounds."

It is just ammo or bullets that have minor imperfections that
keep it from being 100% pretty...............
Could be as little as a scratch, blemish, stain or just a nick in the tip of the bullet.

The good thing is that you should get 10% or more off the ammo, that shoots just as good as the ammo that meets the companies spec's.

I would think as practice ammo it would be perfect - and a bit less expensive too.

I've never heard of the stuff you mentioned but I do use the HPR 90 grain hollow point in my M&P .380. It cycles perfectly and internet reports on its penetration (12" - 15") make it perfect for self defense. A bit expensive at about a $1 a round but they do come in a 50 round box.

I've never seen it, but don't see any reason not to give it a try.

I shoot tiny little groups with Midway blemished bullets. Sometimes I'm not sure of their manufacturer, but you won't have this with loaded ammo.

In case a sale like this of HPR .380 bulk blemishes comes up again do not hesitate to buy it. I bought 1000 rnds. packed in 500 rnd. boxes in late 2015 from L.G. which they shipped immediately. It was less than $250 with shipping. I could not tell why they were rejects on cursory inspection. I went to the range and fired at least 6 magazines of it from my PK380. I did not have a single misfire, failure to feed or failure to eject. I recently checked to see if anyone is having a similar sale even though I still have over 900 rnds. remaining from my first order. Great deal.

I got some from the same source. Opened the box and couldn't even see any blemishes. It looked good enough that I didn't even feel like I had to shoot it up first. it is the same HPR 100 grain TMJ that functions very well in my 380.
