I just got an e-mail about this. Is this a real threat? Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009.

The rep in congress is from chi town and he has again put this up earlier this year. It is dead in the water right know. 2010 elections are coming up real quik here and maybe if the rep,Bobby Rush gets voted out of office in the primaries, then you might see or not new gunlaws that might come up. But since it has no co-sponsors,wont get out of committe yet except to be used as toilet paper or recycled. rz625-8

I think we should vote out every member of congress & senate when they are up for re-election. Then maybe they will get the message. We The People.

oldRoger--
Blair Holt was a teenage honor student who was murdered in a gang shooting in Chicago.
His name was attached to this rancid bill for emotional impact...

R-K, the main problem with 100% "throw the bums out" is that it puts more power into the hands of unelected staffers. Unelected Congressional staff already have enormous power, controlling what the member sees or doesn't see. And committee staff are even worse.

Be careful what you wish for!!!

Apologies!

JP----------Thanks I knew better, It was late and I was half asleep, apologies to all.

The idiot is Bobby Rush.

But, when it comes to voting them all out, it is idiots like B. Rush who will be the last to go. Pick-up a list of long serving Reps, many will be notorious progressive anti-gun nuts, and you will see that most of them are from so called safe districts in major cities, they have little or no serious opposition and most likely will be in office until they die or go to prison.

I will keep Senators Chambliss and Isakson, thank you. Ensign of Nevada, Coburn of Oklahoma, Demint of S. C., and a few more "keepers" come to mind. About half of our House members in Georgia are also keepers. I do not understand why anyone would want to get rid of people who have consistently voted the way most of us would like for them to vote, particularly on 2nd Amendment issues.

That is exactly my fear. Many of us are very unhappy with the current congress. However, I don't get to vote for N. Pelosi or Harry Reid.
My voting out our Rep. with whose views I usually agree will not solve the problem of Pelosi or the above mentioned B. Rush, or countless others I could name.
Those in the forum who do live in districts represented by long serving high tax, high spending, anti self defense progressives, should move heaven and earth to replace them.
The idea of a "pox on all of their houses" will not help. The safe district progressives will stay in office. The good guys will be gone.
