HSM Ammo

In the course of searching for stuff for my 500, I came across some HSM ammo at Cabelas for the 500 that has a REAL good price: $34.99 per box of 20 which figures out to $1.75 per round! Has anyone tried this brand and what was your impression.. Thanks!

We used to have it for training ammo. I never had a problem with it, but OH MY WAS IT DIRTY.

By dirty, you mean smutting up the places where the gun powder is exhausted muzzle, cylinder face, etc, the Winchester rounds I'm using are doing a pretty good job dirtying this gun also! Oh well, that happens when she's fired I guess...

I have used this in my S&W 500. It is cheap and when it goes off the gun is a handful! Thanks for the post, I'm ordering more.

Lots of smoke when fired, and lots of crud left inside the pistol; sure seemed like a lot more than duty ammo.
