Years ago, we had a pair of Australian Shepherds, not a small breed of dog by any stretch of the imagination and we used to refer to them as "Bed Buffaloes" if they jumped into bed.

I was not acquainted with the term until now, but I had two dogs that put a slight twist on it and could have been called couch buffaloes.
Yeah, I have a bed Buffalo again. She gets one half, I get the the other: 1/4 on either end of her. (The Weim, not the wife!)

Number one is fairly accurate of my description. LOL
Had a bed Buffalo one summer; temporary guest (husky cross) while the rellies were on an extended vacation. One Dog Night was more than enough!

Try an AS mix that is at least half Rottweiler. 90+ pounds, sprawled out on my wife's feet most of the time. They spend a lot of time on the couch together, too.
