#5 about cats and dogs is a winner. Our cat was raised by dogs and quite bonded to most of them (primarily Rottweilers). She was the meanest critter we had, barred from a boarding facility. The only dog we had that was as intolerant of strangers was Bozo, who was half Fila and took after that side for his temperament.

Dennis' #1 is for real, and touched me. The boy was born blind and paralyzed, and lived to just 10. His father designed the memorial and had it built, signaling his boy was now heaven-bound and free of his crippling ailments.
