Found a "mood warning" in an email to a colleague that my gf got just after she took up her univ. post. 20 years ago. Looks like it was from Outlook. She has no recollection of what could have prompted it but I'm sure she sent it anyway. I know the recipient and she would not have been remotely offended by a mere "2-chili pepper" message :)

Anyone use Eudora for e-mail back in the day? There were hidden messages that would pop up if you hit certain key combinations. This one (from 2005) must have come up on the Mac I had at the time.

I believe it hung around for Windows longer than it did for Mac but I think it's completely gone now.
I've been using Thunderbird (cross-platform) for several years now and think it's pretty good. My iPhone has Apple Mail of course which integrates with my Gmail account just fine, but I use Tbird on my Macs and my (rarely-used) Dell. Even works on my ancient 2009 iMac.
