I either made one of the biggest trades of my life or the biggest mistake. I been thinking for a while that I needed to clear house on some of my doubles purchases and forgotten finds and with the frenzy that has gripped the gun buyers there is probably no better time.
I invited the manger from my LGS over and told him I wanted to "clean house" on my rifles, together we went threw my two rifle safes and came up with 9 rifles to start with and 4 pistols my criteria was simple; when is the last time I touched it or do I really like it.

He need inventory and I need space all profits go toward future purchases at his store.

Here the list of what he took:

Uzi Model B, Action Arms,IMI,9mm with case and 2-20 round magazines, sling, loading tool, barrel shroud and display barrel

Mosin Nagant Tula 91/30,7.62x54 (I have two)

Spanish Mauser, 8mm, would never shoot it

Check Flare Launcher (Rifle) never shoot it

Yugo SKS 59, 7.63X39, never shoot it

Auto ordnance 1927 A-1 Deluxe 45acp (semi auto) with 10 and 50 round drums an 2 stick magazines

Romanian Wassr 10/63 CAI, 7.63X39 (I had a better one)

GSG-5 Pistol,22LR (looks like a MP-5) Did not like, but cool

Ruger Mini 14 GB Stainless Steel, 223- I have a custom mini 14 with all kinds of bells and whistles, granted it's not a GB model, but please a Mini a Mini.

FAL G1-SA Sporter CAI in 308cal- Did not trust the build company or quality.

Astra 600, 2nd German Contract, 9mm

Nambu T-14, 8mm (Blood pitted frame, date 1936)

Colt Model of 1895, 38 Colt, slightly out of time.

He picked these up on Sunday afternoon, and at frenzy prices I figured they bring $10,000.00 plus less commission.I told him to price them, but to be fair to me and the customers.
Needless to say I trust this guy.

Over half sold within 24 hours, for more that I thought they bring. Including the Mosin, the flare gun and the colt. My best guess is that I had between $5500. to $6000 invested in these.

In turn he is doing me a favor and selling me an Uzi Mdl.B (Full Auto)in 9mm with the 22LR and 45acp conversions (3 guns in one) with magazines etc.

Plus the in house gun smith is to build me a custom AK-47 (semi) with the following, Mil spec chrome lined barrel, milled receiver,US made target trigger group, the rest of the parts are to be military surplus of my choice. I can pick from a Poly tech, Hungarian, Polish or Bulgarian parts set with of course the mandatory number of US made parts exclude from the set. They sell these for $1700.00 and have a 6 to 7 month back log on pre- paid orders. I also can choose between fixed or under folder.

I was leaning toward the poly tech with under- folder and folding bayonet.

This if my math works, the two guns mentioned above should cost me very little to nothing including Federal Tax.

What do you think of the deal?

Not bad, the Uzi is a great sub gun, and with the Two conversion units would go for at least $6500.
So with the form 4 paperwork and tax stamp paid, you didn't do any worse than break even (probably better).
The AK is just icing on the cake.
Honestly though, I'd go with a Nodak Spud 1mm receiver, that milled is going to be a lot heavier without any real benefit.

Stale inventory turned into usable money is always a good deal. I would have considered keeping the SKS and the Mosin Nagant simply because neither will ever be on a ban list, and ammo is affordable and available compared to anything comparable. The custom AK is a nice bonus.

I was a little torn over the SKS but the Yugo one's have that stupid grenade launcher on the front and I disliked it for that reason. Down the road I may replace it with a nice Russian one.I still have two AK style rifles chambered for 7.62x39 both a little lighter,Oh and the SKS was on Feinstein's hit list.

The Mosin is a spare a have a second one, a sniper, with the correct scope and reproduction rings.
