but I was cleaning a few things this afternoon and thought that a K frame, 3" HB, RB, ten shot in .22 L.R. or .22 mag would be a useful firearm.

As a matter of fact, is there anyone who would do such a conversion on my #64...for less than the cost of a college education?

Sounds great! I would love a K frame "Kit" gun. 3" bbl 22 lr or mag. 6 shot or 9 or 10 I would still buy it.
