I Am So Sick Of Hearing the Term.....

I never had a problem with it. Being an old fart, and old fashioned is fun. Each generation has its pluses and minuses. Born in 1963, so we had our own faults and good, and so does the following generations. Some issues never change. We had our share of bullies, you beat them up for fought them until they moved on and left you alone, newer generations that has often been replaced by nonstop online targeting we never had to deal with. You went home they were out of your hair until you whipped 'em the next day.

Tech is another good one to examine. I still use a landline and flip phone with nothing but a phone. Funny is how many do not believe older folks know the game on such.

One of my cousin's oldest kids is in her 20s and had issues with her phone and it was gone. I fixed those and got her back in.

She was like: How did you know what to do, you only use a landline and a dumb cell phone, rarely?.

My reply was the same as Quigley in the movie: I said I don't have a use for one, never said I did not know how to use one, or more important understand the inner workings of the system being used.

As much as possible I work the technology, it is not working me.

There's a lot of stereotyping of various generations going on these days. It is being magnified by social media. That's too bad, because stereotyping robs people of their individuality, and lumps everyone from a particular identifiable group into a single pot without concern for who they actually are. In response, I'd like to make a small effort to chip away at some of this stereotyping by bragging on my grandchildren and their spouses.

I have seven grandchildren and four grandchildren-in-law. Seven are Millennials and four younger ones are Gen Zs. Between the eleven of them there are five doctorates, including three MDs, a graduate student, a software engineer, an attorney (Harvard Law School), a traditional housewife, a college junior, and last but not least, a writer for Netflix who's already authored a hit show on Broadway with three Tony nominations. Not a slacker in the bunch.

So take that, stereotyping!

Us GenX folks simply sit back and watch the boomers and millennials hit insults back and forth LOL

What is the flipping big deal? How about all you Boomers (I am one) calling all the younger folks by their generation names.? How about calling them Hippies? who are now executives of big companies.
"Deadhead driving a Cadillac":)

Get over it

On the other hand, those in the younger generations are inheriting a heck of a lot of $$$ from us baby boomers. Theyre real welcome to use their inheritance to pay off that 37 zillion debt. Easy money for them, after all.
