That kid is almost as big as the banjo. I am very impressed with his ability. We'll be hearing more about him in the future.

JcMack,

That kid sure can pick that 5 string...Probably be one of them Earl Flatt & Lester Scruggs milionairs one of these days.;):D

All kidding aside...that is very impressive. Sharing with a couple of banjo playing friends.

I'd love to see an interview with their parents, they definitely know how to raise their children. Such talent at such a young age, just makes you smile like the Cheshire Cat.

Thanks for posting

These guys are brothers. It would appear their parents have had a positive influence on them. I think worst case they've got jobs in entertainment some day. Around here the kids not only will never hold a job, but I doubt they'll ever know both parents. You're right about the lack of TV. These guys are also probably pretty popular in school. A really big deal with kids their age.

Head out to Weiser ID every June for the annual National Old Time Fiddler's Festival.

You'll be surprised to see a lot of kids a pickin' and a grinnin' just as good as those pictured. Fiddles, banjos, and gitfiddles EVERYWHERE !

You'll also see hundreds of adults playing alone and in groups around their RV's and campfires nearly 24 hr/day for several days. You'll walk away with one foot stomping up and down for days.

It's one of the best times I've ever had.

An impressive performance! No disparagement intended, but I can no longer hear banjo music without being reminded of a recent cartoon from The New Yorker --- an urban steetscape shows a darkened retail store, its sign proclaiming: "Big Al's Banjo, Bagpipe, And Accordion Palace". A notice taped in the empty display window reads: "CLOSED DUE TO GENEVA CONVENTION".

Good stuff for sure. Those kids have got yards and yards of talent.

Did I mention that I can play the radio?
