Yesterday at the indoor range, I was shooting some old 1.0s that had been sitting in the safe. I use to shoot one, years ago labeled the Spec Op, in IDPA matches. I had a match trigger installed in it. I also pulled out a 2.0 15 rounder to shoot. I bought it because of the thumb safety. So when I slammed in a magazine it bit my little finger. EEEOUCH! I pranced into the lobby of the indoor range and asked it they had a bigger version of the 2.0. They did. I bought it; because I liked it better and it was marked down by $71 ( probably because this is Glock country and it was not cut for an optic). So I ran back in the range to shoot it right out of the box. I cut the center out of the bullseye ( now I have to say I shoot a Glock to the low left and yes I know all about shooting it that way). No such problem with the S&W M&P 2.0 ( probably because of the grip angle and shape of the grip). Trigger of the 2.0 was much improved and the bore axis has been lowered to give less muzzle flip; and that makes a big difference for me. Great ergos too. Glocks are an acquired taste and they never did much for my taste buds. Cannot wait to run this pistol again!! It is a real keeper. I don't like the rtf - too aggressive for me; but i solved that by putting a 1.0 backstrap on it.
I would be interested in hearing about other folks likes and dislikes of this new S&W.

Glad you are happy with your new 2.0.
I touched one of the new 10mm's and and had to have one as well.
I really like the grip angle and i do like the grip texture.

I also am not very good at shooting the Glock19 low and left.I think Im going to buy the S&W2.0 9mm Steel pistol . Jerry Michilak has a new youtube video reviewing it.

The Viking You can take a little sand paper to texture to reduce the bite a bit ,

I can be a trigger snob but one of my wifes older CC's is a m&p9c thats I did a little tuning on only and has a nice 4lb 10z trigger that is smooth but most like her core received some apex upgrading . I have and old 4.25 40sw with thumb rest and two 2.0 models a sku: 13144 that may be come a future CC an a sku 11825 I do CC some along with a lw commander .

The compact has a thumb safety and is OR and got the full apex fst curved trigger kit while the 5" 40 has very good stock trigger pull of 4lb 8oz . Both came with the old trigger style and the few new glockish triggers I find to be no better on average than earlier 2.0's. But thats just my opinion .

I am still wondering how your compact thumb safety "bit your little finger " Pinched between the mag and grip !! hahahaha
I like m&p pistols almst as much as a well tuned 1911. They feel right in my hand . I can shoot a glock well but hate the grip angle and flat slab sides to the grip so no glocks around my house .

nam68 . The new m&p has No extra STEEL in it . Just an alloy frame for 3 extra ounces of weight , think enhanced aluminum . remember ole jerry is a s&w sponsored shooter so everything new to S&W is the best ever .

My shooting partner has the Mod 2 - 5" the mod 2C 4" and more recently the PC Shield Plus. Pretty sure that I fired the first two but really didn't take much notice. Decided to go back to DA/SA pistols after believing I had fired all of the poly-frame strikers and they just weren't for me. Then I fired his Mod 2C again and paid closer attention and fell in love with it, so now I have one and sold a Canik TP9sa that would have been my last striker. Wolff has an excellent striker spring that's rated 4# vs the 5# spring the Mod 2s come with. They clearly state "For Competition Use Only" but I have several hundred defense type handloads fired without a hint of an issue. I did a little polishing with 300 grit paper when I changed the springs. That's all the customizing I'll ever do to it, and I'm a trigger snob!
