I was perusing the Pawn Shop where I found my .38-40 caliber 610, and there was a 3" 547 9mm revolver for sale. They had $399 on the price tag. I got them down to $350. It's tight as a drum but has some holster wear at the muzzle, but no wear anywhere else. Aftermarket finger groove grips.

Anybody know where to get the original 547 grips? They are a little different than the usual 3"RB K-frame grips in that they are more a combat type grip that are slightly longer than the frame.

I already have a 547, but it's like new, so this one will be the "shooter".

Pics up soon.

Congratulations on a very good deal. You might try posting a WTB ad in the WTB classifieds (read the WTB rules first).
You're looking for K frame round butt target stocks.

Congratulations on the purchase of a fairly rare S&W revolver and I'd say you stole it at that price

Very nice price for that piece! You did well, check Gunbroker for MetstoRedsox....so many grips for sale your head will spin and usually open to decent offers.

I found one recently for $450 and almost felt guilty. All I can say is," You have the right to remain silent......." Great find. I also found two still in the blister pack speed loaders for $5 each. Mine is a shooter! Mechanical marvel.

Here's a pic of the 547 I just recently bought. I have to figure out how to take better pics.

I bought my other one, a 3" as well, back when they were dirt cheap and no body wanted them because they were 9mm. I picked up a couple of those HKS speed loaders as well, though now they are discontinued now it seems. I'll have to just find a few more.

I need to find a four inch now.

Fantastic find! What a great price on a awesome gun. I want one of these bad but they are usually to expensive for my blood! Congrats!

There are...

Only 2 guns I have had and then let them go because of bad times. My model 58 and my model 547. Of all of them, the 547 was one of the most accurate I have ever shot. I still have my speed loaders in hopes I will someday find another.

Can't Forget My Dual Cylinder Model 547

It's been posted before, but always worth a second look. Mine came with aftermarket Craig Spegel Birdseye Maple grips, and two pair of correct "K" frame round but factory grips, one pair smooth and one pair checkered. The gun has had a recessed Model 19 cylinder fit to it for more ammo choices.

What a great find. Shame S&W doesn't make any new 9mm revolvers. Guess the market for it is low.

Model39 I said it once and I will say it again. Your 547 is the grail gun in my book. What a set up! Yet I am still happy with mine and the fact I found a couple of speedloaders.
