I was out and about today and came upon a new gun pusher and low and behold my dream pistol was there. A 4" nickel mod 57 no dash.

Beeeeautiful!!! Is that your first .41 Mag? If it is you're going to love it as a shooter, too..

Great find... "All good things come to they who wait..."

I will eventually shoot it, but really i got it as a bar-b-que gun. But just dry firing it, I think the trigger is nicer than my 19-3.

good looking 57 and I really like those stag grips!

Beautiful revolver - a true grail gun. The 57 no dash was made from 1964 to 1982. If your grips are original, (not diamond) that would mean the gun was built after 1968. I don't know how many were made in nickel.

My grail gun is this 4" 629 no dash, made only in 1981:

dirtygrunt, if you don't currently reload, this would be a good time to start. The .41 is not too expensive to shoot if you roll your own. And I've noticed .41 brass and bullets are available.

Congratulations on finding your grail gun. I have a mint nickel 4 inch no dash Model 57 and they are really nice revolvers.

Very nice 57. I too have one and love to shoot it but do keep the round count down.

Congrats! Don't sell ti! Ever!

Congratulations on your find.

About a year ago I found a 4" nickel 57 at a small shop and snapped it up immediately. Mine's a dash 1 (AJPxxxx) but she's a fine shooter with Berry's plated .41 bullets.

Those stag grips are beautiful.

Hooray, nice find! It's always good to finally find one you have been looking for. I have a six inch no dash nickel and have been looking for one as well.

Extremely nice! Congratulations. I have only one 57 at the moment, but expect to collect others as time goes by. One like yours would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection.
