I just picked up a 98% 4" 686-4 from my local dealer for $421 out the door. I took her to the range and it shoots great...as expected. I think I did okay on price. What are these going for nowadays on the secondary market? Thanks.

I think you got ripped off big time, I'll buy it from you for the same amount you paid for it, so that you can recoup you loss.

Just kidding, I think you got a good deal on one of the finest .357 rugged revolvers. Enjoy it.

Best deal I've heard of lately. The 686 is built like a tank. I've got a 4" 686-4 that I bought new back in the 90's.

I L-O-V-E it.

I am handing off a 686-4 4" to my youngest son as he is getting started in the sport and wants some home protection too..he just moved out from under my roof and protection umbrella..it was a duty weapon for 3 years and I though it would fill the billet for sure..I have a 681-1 and a 686-3 that were also duty weapons but the -4 is the best of the bunch to me..his grandfather left a 15-4 but that will be given to him later..when he shows me how good he is with the 686..did not realize they were that much money..not sure I will tell him that..he might not want to shoot it!!..all5x

That's a good price. I bought mine used last year for $400 cash from a local back when I didn't even really know what it wass. Glad I did now, as it is a beautiful piece. I don't plan on it ever leaving my collection.

Sounds like a good deal. Here in the deep south, I see them for around that price or a touch higher at $ 450.
