It's funny (to me), that so many of us lock into the gun that we click with, lust after, hunt for and eventually buy only to put it on a pedestal never to be used.

Enjoyed? Sure, I guess; I did for some time now...

Until I pulled out my LNIB 945 and decided to really enjoy it for more than its' ability to hold down a stack of paper (figuratively).

And I do enjoy it! Oh, it's such a sweet and rewarding pistol. I giggle after shooting it. I really enjoy it now, and am glad I changed its' status; however, everything comes with a cost...

I lost one of the four grip screws somewhere between the range and my safe.

Worth it? (The jury is still out).

So it's with my crappy story that I ask (the very obvious) question: Does anyone know where one could pick up an unobtanium grip screw for a 945?

Thanks everyone, and I hope my story is a rare one.

There was a conversation about 945 grip screws some time back.

I stated that 1911 grips screws work perfectly. I had changed out my 945 slotted grip screws with hex ones. I at first forgot to mention that they have to be 1911 slim line ones.

Midway has a great selection of the slim line screws by a few different manufacturers. They are offered in slotted, hex, torx, blued and stainless. Both of my 945’s are early ones so they came with slotted grip screws which I replaced with hex but saved the slotted.

I don’t want to raise the argument about slotted vs hex/torx on a 1911, (or other.) I like the look of the hex. That’s all.
