I need help selecting a snubby for ccw

Kahr fan, the easy solution for you is to buy an IWB holster for your 220. The Sig is thinner in the slide than even a 5 shot J-frame, & you're used to the weight, so that shouldn't be a problem. I also find I can carry a heavier gun IWB more comfortably than I can OWB. Just a suggestion..........

Thats my first answer too. A good Lobo IWB and belt will hide and carry that 250 all day with comfort. Been packing a 1911 forever in this combo and it works. Have a longer barrel that gives me extra velocity, extra ammo ready to go, faster reloads and a much better round with 230 grain Speer Gold Dots than any .38 and way easier to shoot than a snub .357.

I currently have a 60, 2⅛", a 65-2, 3", and a 686+ 3". I'd go with a 65, the L frame 686 is a lot of gun on your belt.

model 60 is a popular gun, i have two, but i am getting into the shrouded hammers now, maybe a 649 deserves a look.

For comparison I wasn't happy with the Glock 27 being a bit too wide and clunky for CCW. Nice pistol though.

I have a 640 2 1/8 that I purchased for CCW but found it a bit too heavy for normal pocket and ankle carry. As far as shootablility it does fine with +P, a bear with 357 125 gr and the boot grip and tolerable with the factory Uncle Mike's grip.

Purchased a 1 7/8 in 642 which carries very well. +P's are a handful but not as bad as 357's in the 640. Concealability requires the small grip. Very happy with it, hardly know it's there. Trigger is fine, although I do like the 640 feel better. I think I'll keep both - J frames are right for me for CCW.

Good luck!
