So today on my lunch break I decide im going to drop by a few local stores and see if just maybe they got some ammo in over the Holidays (maybe not yet shelved, since its been a vacation). Well what do u know, Bass Pro had 200rds of .223 for me and Cabellas had 500rds of 7.62 for me. Then it turns out my LGS had another 500rds of .223 for me (steel case, but who cares in a time like this).

$139 plus tax on the 500rds 7.62
$99 plus tax on the 200rds .223

And since my LGS owed me for the recent lock word I did on their building. I walked out paying $75 plus tax on the 500rds of steel case .223. I'll be going back tomorrow as they are supposed to have a nice load of 9mm and .40 for me.

IT WAS A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the LGS with a gift certificate and a wad of cash. Ended up with IK SP primers and 4 boxes of 00 buck. No 9mm or 22LR to be had.

Something to remember - If you can't find Small Pistol primers, Small Rifle primers will work just as well - at least they do in my revolvers. That switch might not work so well in some autopistols due to possibly weaker firing pin blows. But in my .38 Super Colt GM, Small Rifle primers work OK. Large Pistol and Large Rifle primers are not interchangeable, as a Large Rifle primer protrudes above the face when seated in a Large Pistol primer pocket. In a pinch, a LP primer would work in a LR pocket, but I wouldn't recommend it.
