Bought a glock 43(9mm) yesterday very nice pistol IMHO.I also have a shield in 9mm.My first comparison is I like the shield grip better verses the glock. The finish is better on the shield. The shield has a 8 round mag verses the glock 6 rounder. They both shoot very accurate.I think the glock is easier/quicker to clean.

Went to buy the 43, came home with a 40 Shield.

My EDC is a 26. I cant see enough justification to buy the 43. If I didn't have the 26 I may go with the 43, but again the slightly larger 26 gives you 10 rounds in the mag, and my reload is a 15 round Glock 19 mag. Pretty hard to pull away from that just for an 1/8" thinner slide.

Got to fire a Glock 43 last month. Trigger pull was the best feature in my opinion. Like it but can't see the purchase when am happy enough with my CS-9. Other models to think of.

Feels much thinner in hand and IWB... let's not forget the weight difference either.

I was ready to buy one when shot show was going on but they did not realse it for another couple months. So may thought was they are way to late to the single stack party and it did not offer enough difference from their double stacks. So order a should 40.

Looked at the G43, ended up with a LC9s Pro.

The LC9s Pro is more comfortable in my hand and has a better trigger.

That said, I can see a G43 making its way into my collection at some point.

I've been researching the Shield 9mm and Glock 43. Found a range with both guns today. I can say that I shot noticeably better with the shield 9mm. The recoil seemed less as well. The groupings weren't terrible with the 43 (I used the mag with pinky extender) and the accuracy issues might be due to being better with 3 dots sights vs trying to line up the field goal sights on the Glock. Even though the Glock feels noticeably lighter I am planning on buying the Shield. $100 cheaper, more accurate (for me), and feels better in my hand.

One note: I like the Glock 43 trigger way better

Glock makes good guns. That said, the 43 arriving over late to the game and only in 9mm, not .40 S&W, leaves an unsatisfied market segment. Fortunately my Shield fills the bill nicely.

The Shield is an excellent choice! Had Smith made the NTS version option when they first came out, I would have bought it (I'm "wrong" handed). I went with an XDS.

Reading about the G43, I wasn't excited. Then I handled and shot one. I was immediately won over. The new Glock is now my favorite summer carry choice. I'm holding on to the Springfield. Who knows, maybe a Shield NTS will follow me home as well.

I guess I am one of the few people around that has had a bad experience with Glock. I sold my model 27 last year and bought a 640 pro series and a 40 cal. shield. I have been a happy Smith and Wesson owner ever since.

I might look at Glock again when they come out with a single stack 40, but I am in no hurry to jump back into the " Glock pool " , the water is just fine here.

Enjoy your new Glock 43! I have had great service from my six personal ones and one issued one. That being said, if I were in the market for a small single stack striker gun, I would probably get the .40 Shield. My work issues .40 ammo.
