Channel surfing (tired of the news) and came across at the top of the hour an episode of the A team. I watched the whole thing! Plot was thin. B.A Baracas' old Vietnam war buddy Hulk Hogan has a friend who was going to loose her gym so he called in the A team. Saw a bunch of vintage wrestling footage including Mean Gene. One scene showes an ambush of the bad guys by all of the Hulkster's wrestling friends. There was even an appearance by Col. Decker! I mean an allstar over the top 1970's experience! :D
They even had Face shooting the folding stock mini 14. Never knew that it was so inaccurate or that a .223 could blow the hood off of a car.
Can't believe we actually watched that stuff!!!
In the end the fair maiden got to keep the gym-the A team out smarted Decker and life was good.

I don't think there was anyone ever hit by rifle fire in any episode. Pretty sad since the A Team was supposed to be a Top Notch Commando Unit

The bad guy in the pilot episode died. No one else ever died. That's why it was a great kids show.... typically, '80s. It was a great time growing up then.

Things were different back then, and worked differently. What we thing of as fiction was actually based upon fact.

As I understand it that was was totally intentional. It was part of the base script that nobody was ever hit. Kind of like the 1960 westerns where the good guys would shoot the gun out of the bad guys hand or a hit from a Colt SA 45 in the shoulder was just a flesh wound. Good classic old school TV.

I caught a few episodes of lost classics:
Green Hornet
Dragnet
Adam 12
Emergency
Have gun, will travel
Rawhide

and some others.....I am hooked on streaming TV now...can't stand the never ending commercials about some free stuff from the US Govt, or big money lawsuits.

Plus, the newer stuff usually doesn't hold my interest very long. Now, Longmire, and Justified did for some reason ;)

This was probably my favorite quote of the whole show.

Whenever I see one of those shoulder wounds, the paramedic in me says "Someone is going to need a chest tube pretty soon."

Most people don't realize how far up the lungs do. Nor do they realize where the bottoms are and how high the abdomen really goes.
