My subject title pretty much says it all. I'd like to see S&W make a .44 magnum version of the old five screw 1917. They can shorten the hammer throw if they want and make it a four screw if they must, but it must have the same looks otherwise as the 1917. The ejector rod's end must be the large one like the 1917. It must have fixed sights and a half round front sight. And in choice of nickel and blue as well as original 5&1/2 inch barrel with also a choice of a 3&1/2 inch barrel. No lock, no MIM. And it can't look like the classics model because the classic model didn't have the big ejector rod end and the hammer to frame location was different and the front sight was pinned on. Basically the classic version that tries to look like the 1917 fails in my opinion. Need a .44 mag that looks more like the 1917 than the classics version did. Anyway, that would be my wish.
