I pulled this out to take to the range this week. I bought it when Walmart was getting out of the handgun ammo business. I wish I could find some more at this price. Not happening though. I enjoyed it while it lasted! Y’all have a good weekend!

I got lucky and bought all of the 38/357 ammo a fellow had for 10 bucks a box at a gun show. He had the 38's on the table and I asked if he would sell me all of them for 10 bucks a box. He said yep so I got 14 boxes...4 were those same 130 rd 38s the rest were Rem 125 gr JHPs. He came to my table about 20 minutes later and said he found more...9 boxes...same price 7 boxes were 357 125 gr JHPs. I've been shooting them sparingly. I bought other ammo he had but not as many boxes. Those 130 gr loads are kind of wimpy. I think that will be the last of that kind of priced ammo...forever He had one box of 32-20 but had to pay 35 dollars. John Linebaugh saw I had 'em and prevailed upon me to sell 'em to him...just weeks before his passing. I wish I could find more of them for 35 bucks. I hope you got a whole bunch of that ammo

Hugh, I got all the 38 Special my Walmart had. The Remington and Winchester were those 130 grainers but they had the Federal 158 grain LRN too.

I got a severe case of sticker shock a couple of weeks ago when I saw some .38 special at my local Atwoods farm store. Thank goodness I cast and load my own.

My LGS sells PMC 38 Special for $30 a box of 50.

Reloading is the best option.

Well with all this I have to say I got lucky to find 38s cheap. Before the big Covid thing I bought a lot of 9mm. Cheap...4 to 7 dollars a box. And for some odd reason I have bought 1000s of rounds since then...when I found it cheap. I have over 4000 rounds....and I hardly shoot the darn caliber. I only have 2 9s and one of them is a Ruger Blackhawk 38/357/9mm Combo. There is something wrong with me! I also have about 25 boxes of 204...and no rifle Duh!
