I would love to see these on DvD. The Young Rebels and the John Jakes movie series.

The Young Rebels was a short-lived Tv series back in 1970-1971--and sadly, lasted only 15 episodes. It starred Ron Ely (of Tarzan and Dr. Who fame) and Louis Gosset Jr.

I discovered this series by accident back in early 1988--when I had to get up at 3Am because I had a paper route. As I was getting ready for work, I watched the few episodes I saw--and it was great. Id love to see this on DvD.

Anyone remember these? I do and loved every one of them. These have not been shown on any TV station in my area since the early 80s. These would be a good lesson for younger folks to see what we were supposed to be about.

Check out Blue and Gray. It's not exactly fully historically accurate, and there is a lot of fictionalized drama in it, but overall it is better than the majority of TV shows that are on TV today.
