...in what sport (other than a firearms shooting sport) would you most like to compete?

I tried to get Rusty to join me in synchronized diving, but we couldn't agree on cannonball or jack knife as our signature dive. Plus our wives wouldn't let us out in public in those swim trunks.

You can only cite women's beach volleyball if you are actually a woman.

Drinking beer is not an olympic sport...yet.

I actually started with archery before my revolver fixation so that would be my first choice. If you feel that's cheating and is too similar to a shooting sport, then my next choice would be cycling on the dangerous looking high bank track. I know next to nothing about it, but it does look intense. I am sure that I would be over the rail and in the hospital in record time...but hey...a record is a record. Right?

Just pretend this is witty.

I was a track star back in high school but I really would have liked the swim sports. I tried Water Polo "once" for cross training and found that I sink like a rock. Man, that's a tough sport.

Go USA!

Well, as a moderately successful discus and hammer thrower at the D1 level in college, I had dreams of making an Oly squad. Injuries cut that short before I had chance to even know if I could get that good. So there's those 2 sports. But after watching the Rugby 7s today, that's the sport I'd like to be an Olympian in for sure! That sport is bad *** and looks so fun.

I too like my time with the clubs on the course! ;)
So I guess I would go for the golf team!

First choice: Archery. I had started while in elementary school, did it throughout junior high, and sporadically in high school. Never competed, though. Just for fun. Every once in a while I get the urge to get back into it, but then I see the equipment prices.

Second choice: Judo. I used to study traditional Japanese jujutsu (as opposed to the Brazillian variety that's common nowadays) and every once in a while the instructor would show us different versions of a technique: judo, jujutsu, and street. Randori (aka sparring) was my favorite part of training.

100 meters. I'm a drag racer at heart, it doesn't take but about 10 sec. I don't have to hang around very long.
Dang, American1776, I'm impressed. I've never had the strength to come anywhere close to pulling myself into that postition, and most certainly never had the confidence for any kind of gymnastics.
