We've all had the o'l discussions at some point in time on the topic of "what if you could have only one gun what would it be" I want to try a little twist on that and ask;

"If you could only have one REVOLVER what would it be?"

Seeing as how my primary purpose for owning a handgun is for lawful concealed carry self defense, the one revolver that would be the last one I parted with would be a .38 Special J-frame snub. My current favorite is the Model 642. I sure would miss the rest of my revolvers though.

IF I could only have one I would agree w/a previous post here, almost any (pre lock) J frame b/c it could be always with me.

2.5" 19-4. Everything I need in a revolver and nothing I don't. Regards 18DAI

Again J frame m&p 340, i love my other revolvers but the pocket carry in a coat or pants and the ability to fire through a coat pocket make it the most useful of all my revolver's, especially since I reside in a mostly urban environment.

Sir, it would have to be Grandpa's old Colt Model 1878 Double Action. It doesn't work, but it's an heirloom and thus non-negotiable.

In terms of "working guns," it would probably be my ratty little Model 49.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

640 no-dash in .38 Special would be my first choice. A close second would be a DAO 649-2 in .38 Special.

Would have to be the 638. It goes everywhere with me now I would not know what to do without it.
Be safe, Frank.

A model 17 with 6'' barrel .I use my .22 forfun , hunting small game, carry it fishing and woodswalking.

I like my J Frames, and would really have a hard time parting with any of the 4" 686's, I really like the 625 JM for IDPA but if I had to pick just one it would have to be my 2.5" model 66, I just really have a hard time putting this one down.
