Absent Comrade
...this is a nice one to have. It was used to wonderful effect in Ken Burns' "The Civil War". That mini-series, though it wasn't his first to use that style, has influenced nearly every documentary film maker since. It's still one of the most beautiful and poignant I've seen. The sound editing alone was masterful--hearing cicadas and mourning doves behind shots of a still summer field soon to be soaked in the blood of two armies was unforgettably eerie and sad.
