Illinois gun grabbing machine disarms cop

You have to be very careful about metal objects and MRIs. Them's some serious powerful magnets! You don't want to be standing between the metal and the machine! We had a maintenance guy trying to do floors at the University a while back and he worked into an MRI area. The machine went flying, so did he (twisted up his back real good), it damaged the MRI and the system had to be entirely de-energized and checked out before it could be used again.
 
Guess the cop could not read. All the MRIs I have seen had large warning signs about take ferrous metal objects around them. Maybe the cop thought that the warning didn't apply to him.

a) his Glock was all Tupperware, or
b) not familiar with the term "ferrous".

Well since ya can pass right thru an airport metal detector with a Glock and it's porcelain frame (said so in Die Hard II!) , he didn't think it mattered.
 
And that gun needs to have a FULL SCALE strip and armorer inspection, since the MRI could have moved or damaged parts that will keep it from working.
