Sold at auction a year and a half ago. The description is in error, the I.S.P. property number is 721. It's also clearly been retrofitted with a Model 39-2 slide. I had a Trooper Friend in the late 70’s who was issued a S&W model 39. His pistol had reliability issues and the Department armorers replaced the original slide with a 39-2 slide. This Trooper is deceased so no way of knowing if it was issued to him. There is a chance the pistol in the link slide was replaced by the department. An ISP Sergeant lost a fore finger in a shoot out. The Department modified the frame beaver tail to be longer and wider. Who ever did the modification did an excellent job as it looked factory fresh.
