I'm back, after a few years absence, with a new user name. I think it used to be Dusty Miller but I wouldn't bet my next paycheck on it. My safe holds a 4" 629, 5" 627 (Performance Shop) and a 2" Model 66. The 627 is my favorite of the bunch but any of them would suit me fine in a serious social situation.
I don't get to the range as much as I used to and if the powder situation don't turn around soon that ain't gonna change for awhile. That 629 is loaded with 165 gr. JHPs that I've chrono'd at 1300 fps and I reck'n that'd do just fine against nasty two legged critters. The other two hold 125 gr. JHPs and they have a reputation for bringing bad guys up short in a hurry. Anyway, it's good to be back and I look forward to interact'n with a bunch of ya.
