I've been around gun forums for ages. I've got lots of guns, including several S&Ws. Just thought I'd join this forum and broaden my knowledge on Smiths, and this seems like the place to do it.

Here is the extent of my S&W collection...

One of the first Model 65 that they made. I bought it new.

And I have a 629 Mountain Gun that I carry when I camp and kayak and ride ATVs in Michigan's UP.

And a Model 36-1

And I just bought a Model 27-2 on Gunbroker. Probably paid too much, but it is supposed to be in 99% condition.

The SN of the 27-2 is N3480xx. Any ideas of when it was manufactured?

If I'm reading my SCSW correctly your revolver was manufactured in 1975-1976.

Beautiful weapon, by the way.
