Guys I’m currently laid up in the barracks with a nasty sickness. Awful post nasal drip, sour stomach, fever, chills, you name it!:(

Anyone else sick? You know what they say about misery... :)!

If anyone else out there is laid up post here and we can support one another! Get well soon to anyone else and don’t forget me! :o

Almost everyone else in my town has something like that, runny nose, sneezing then a wet cough but not a lot of fever. Mine lasted a week. I used 16 boxes of kleenex.:( and a lot of vitamin C & alkaseltzer plus.
Get well soon.:)

I’m fine now but just got over a month long stint with it. But I am gonna lay up in the bed all day. Got to work tonight and just got home from filling my belly up at the greasy spoon down the road. Better then crackerbarrel!!

Terrible day yesterday here in S NM.
But last night the front passed, looks to be nice today.
In about 20 min Leaving Deming headed for Columbus.
Border here I come!

Not right now...but, a few weeks back I had it. Seems to be a "lock" that at least once during winter I'm going to come down with what my family calls "the crud".

Hope you feel better soon!

Don

It has been working its way around my part of the country, but thankfully I haven't caught it yet. Hope you feel better, I hear it is particularly nasty this year.

It is not fun to be sick. Sounds like you have the flu.

Sambucol is an elderberry extract that jump starts your immune system. An Israeli doctor developed this back in the 80's. I read about it in Dr. David Williams health newsletter. At the time you had to mail order it since it was not carried locally.

I have never had the flu since then except for one time when I gave my last bottle to a coworker who was suppose to replace it. I should have known better since he was a tightwad and I ended up getting the flu and had to go to the doctor which costs me $150.

Now you can get Sambucol at Walmart and most drug stores. Just make sure it says Sambucol since there are a lot of copy cats which are not the same since she has a special process to preserve the ingredients.

Also don't forget vitamin C. They now have a liposomal form of vitamin C. Here is Dr. William Levy's description of liposomal vitamin C:

"Circulating widely on the Internet these days is the concept that a small dose of liposome-encapsulated vitamin C is more effective than a larger dose of vitamin C given intravenously. This concept has come from the personal clinical observations that I have just presented.

My clinical opinion is that one gram of properly-produced and orally-ingested liposome-encapsulated vitamin C is as or more effective than 5 to 10 grams of vitamin C given intravenously, for an acute viral syndrome. When someone is ill, my advice is still to use as many forms of vitamin C as available, and dosed as highly as is feasible. I discussed this "Multi-C Protocol" in another article."

Exposing the truth about liposomal nutrients | Dr. Thomas E. Levy, MD JD

Vitamin C is also overlooked when people go to the hospital and are diagnosed with septic shock.

While the liposomal form of vitamin C is more expensive, it may save your life if you get pneumonia.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Wicked stomach virus running around up here. I know 2 people who needed up in the ER for IV from dehydration. Seems to hit everyone a little different. Ripped right through my house starting with the 4 year old girl, then momma, last me. I got it the worst I think. Projectile vomited after dinner a couple times till my stomach was empty, then, it was all about the lower end....
Easily 20 plus times the first night. Zero sleep. To busy running back and forth from the head. Piercing stomach pain. Much like food poisoning. I was out of commission for a solid 48 hours. Didn’t eat ANYTHING for 72 hours. Recovered around day four. Aweful. Water was running through me so fast the first 24, my *** was chapped.

Feeling ugly?

ZICAM! it really works but you gotta catch it early. Once it's rooted, like a demoncat, it's tough to dislodge, like a squib load.
Best wishes for healing and recovery!:D

 There's a mental picture that mind bleach won't wash out!

The wife and I have common colds. We got it from my grandkids . My grandson has it the worst.
We had the kids for 3 hrs. last night and have them again today . I hope it will be a good day today and that the kids won't be too fussy.

I hope everyone feels better.

LOL! Yeah, my first thought was TMI. But he was just answering the Op's question. A bit too honestly maybe? :D

Seriously tho, to all who have been under the weather I wish you a speedy and complete recovery. It ain't no fun and the older we get the harder it is to shake this stuff.

Sorry if I offended anyone’s sensibilities. Just fact. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
