Last week, I was cleaning my 9 Shield Plus that came with a Crimson Trace CTS-1500 Red Dot. I put a small foam tip swab into the diode emitter hole, gave it a twist, and the light went out. I was obviously too aggressive with it and broke something.
I called Crimson Trace Monday, told them my story, saying if it wasn't covered under warranty, I would like to get it repaired. Their rep asked me to send pics of the optic showing any damage, the serial number and date of manufacture on the bottom, and a copy of my receipt. I did, and later that day got an email saying a request for a replacement had been submitted.
Today, Friday and four days later, UPS delivered a new optic.
I believe when any company shows exceptional customer service it should be recognized. I was impressed and will definitely be looking at them for my next purchase.
