I have one of these lights from OpticsPlanet NC Star AQPTF LED Flashlight for Pistols/Rifles w/ Weaver Style Mount and Quick Release FREE S&H AQPTF. NcSTAR Flashlights.

Sells for $35 free shipping, 1 Watt LED. Uses a CR123 Li-ion battery that will give you around 4 hours, you can buy extra batteries on the internet for less than a buck. It's very well made rugged construction. There's reviews on the web for additional info. Considering these lights go into the hundreds of dollars, this light is a steel. It's a perfect light for home protection.

I recommend you read the reviews. Most put this on a center fire hand gun and the light performed with no failures.

6464,
Thanks for that link!
Since I came along, long before integral light mounts could someone please advise.
Would the molded in type rail on an M&P9c dust cover be usable with this product?
Thanks!

I have this same light on my M&P45 FS "house gun". Paid $40 OTD at a gun show. Works GREAT. Goes on/off in a split second. Very bright and seemingly well made. Turning it it on/of is intuitive for middle of the night needs. Never thought I'd be a big fan of this accessory but I have to say it's nice to have both hands on the weapon.

I have a 9c but havent tried fitting it. I'll give it a try latter if there is interest.

I have this light as well, picked it up at a gun show for around $30. I have to say I was quite surprised at the quality of this light. Incredibly bright, blindingly so, just a quick flick of the trigger finger to turn it on and off. I highly recommend getting one since most people, like myself, cant drop hundreds of dollars on a tac light. I bought a second one and stuck it on my AR-15 and a third one for a home defense shotgun. Three lights total and still paid less than one name brand tac light.

Will this puppy work on an M&P9c with dust cover lugs?
THANKS!

It depends on the length of the light base. I didn't see any specs on the light. For a few dollars more you can buy a Streamlight TLR-3. I have one on my M&P9C and it works great. It says Made in USA...gotta believe the NC Star is made in China.
