Info on model 29-2 44 Mag Please

Hey guys i might be getting a model 29-2 with a 6 inch barrel serial number N738284 i was wondering if you could tell me the date it was made and also its a 6 inch barrel but the paper work says its a 6.5 inch barrel. Is that the wrong paper work or did S&W mess up. Thanks all

Looks like a 1980. The 6.5 barrel was dropped in 1979. Could still be one but probably a 6 inch.
